Sexism and Wizardry
There are not a lot of female heroes. For some reason, men are usually in charge of saving the world. Women tend to be busy looking hot and being kidnapped (needing to be saved). And the few that aren’t would be really better at their “heroesque” activities if it wasn’t for the gigantic size of their boobs!
In movies, the same applies, usually. At least in action movies.
And in books? Specially in fantasy books? One of my favorite authors wrote – in 1985 – an excellent text about the subject. And for those of you who know Discworld, also know how geniality is a great companion to humor.
Eventually I will write a longer post about sex equality in videogames, but for now, in a totally different media, meet Terry Pratchett, explaining why Gandalf never married.
